Trung Nguyen has put up it’s prices by about 7% on all the G7 range – this is the third price rise in recent times and we can’t absorb it!
This is a good news bad news matter as we still have some stock that you can buy at the old price but when that is gone the price will go up.
Another good news item is we are organising our next shipment to be here before Christmas – this is bringing forward our order by about 3 months so that means all of those out of stock items should return to being in stock

Dark roast coffee by volume has less caffeine than lighter roast - How ever if you weigh your coffee rather than measure by volume you end up with more caffeine.
This gets a bit complicated as longer roast = dark bean = lower caffeine = less mass in the bean!
So darker bean by volume = less caffeine but by weight = more caffeine
That's all a bit cerebral! The simple way to get more caffeine is to use Robusta berries and to get less caffeine to use Arabica.

Vietnam expects 10% larger crop
Vietnam expects larger crop and larger bgeans
Nestle SA is expected to take advantage of an increased yield with better beans at lower prices.
The crop in Vietnam is expected to produce larger beans which may present problems for processors particularly if there are poor drying conditions. This leads to ‘black beans’ which are not suitable for export.
The good news is that improved growing and processing facilities helped by government funding will increase the estimated quantity of premium beans available for sale adding value at a time when World wide robusta production is at an all time high with the surplus expected to be a drag on price increases.

Which countries consume the most coffee?
Scandinavia, Switzerland, Germany and Canada all consume more than 6 kg of coffee per person. With each kg equalling about 100 cups that equates to approximately 600 cups a year.

Brazil's Arabica coffee stocks are at their highest level ever. It appears that the long run on Arabica Coffee's price growth is over. Last year there was a big switch from Arabica to Robusta beans as manafacturers responded to consumers tightening their belts. The apparent consequence has been to push up the price of Robusta and push down the price of Arabica.
